For those who are really keen to get to grips with skydiving this course combines the 1st Jump static line course with 5 additional jumps and training. Your 6th jump is targeted to take you on your 1st Solo Freefall jump subject to your satisfactory progress against the British Parachute Association's Ram Air Progression System (RAPS) Category System. N.B You must purchase full BPA membership prior to your first freefall jump, cost variable. This course offers excellent value to those people who want really get involved with the sport and experience freefall skydiving for themselves. |

You begin by joining students
on our Static Line Solo 1st Jump Course
after which you will continue with additional training and work with our
instructors who will help you gradually develop and
demonstrate the skills required to
progress towards
your 1st solo freefall on your sixth jump!

The training courses run on most Saturdays at the drop zone commencing at 8.30am, weather conditions permitting you'll make your 1st jump early that same evening. Your subsequent training jumps can be made at any time (subject to suitable conditions and training currency requirements). During each jump you will need to demonstrate to your instructor your ability to perform the required skills to the standards required by the BPA Ram Air Progression System (RAPS). Some people may require more than 6 jumps before progressing to freefall, in such cases additional RAPS Student jumps can be purchased to continue your training. After completing the 6 Jump Solo Freefall course you will be well on your way to earning your solo skydiving qualification under the BPA Ram Air Progression System. If you wish to continue your training you simply purchase additional student jumps, we make no additional charge for student progression instruction. Unfortunately we can't give you an accurate time as to when you will make your jumps, we only allow parachute descents to be made when the weather conditions are safe and within the British Parachute Association's operating procedure minimums. Spectators are welcome to come and watch you jump, however we ask you not to bring pets or alcohol onto the drop zone. |

Prerequisites -The maximum allowable weight is 12 stone for females and 15 stone for males, body mass index will also be taken into account. The minimum age for parachuting is 16, applicants under 18 must have written parental / guardian consent. Applicants aged 40 and over should request a British Parachute Associate Medical Certificate for completion by their doctor before their course. Those aged above 49 years are discouraged from taking the 6 Jump Solo Freefall Jump course and require individual approval from the British Parachute Association's Safety and Training Committee and our club's chief instructor, Tandem Skydiving is often a better choice for those above 49 years old. Please contact us for further details if any jumpers are aged under 18 or over 39 years. |
