Can you imagine the sensation of releasing your grip on an aircraft that's flying along half a mile high as you commit yourself to your first jump from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane? How will you feel as you glide through the sky suspended in the harness of your parachute? What emotions will you have when you successfully pilot yourself back to the drop zone to a gracefully soft landing? The Black Knights Parachute Centre's choice of solo jump courses will let you discover the answers for yourself...
After completing an in-depth 6 hour training course with your instructor you’ll be ready to jump and fly your own modern “square” parachute and experience the sense of achievement and thrill that can only come from doing it by yourself. Once trained you’ll be helped into your parachute equipment and then make your way to the jump plane with your instructor. Once at 3,500 feet, your training kicks in as the instructor invites you to make that first jump. Seconds later your parachute opens automatically and you guide yourself down to the landing area whilst enjoying a whole new perspective on the countryside during a truly unforgettable 5 minute decent.
The 6 Jump RAPS Solo Freefall Course includes all the training within the Static Line Solo 1st Jump Course and then goes on to build upon the skills you will learn to develop your skydiving ability and knowledge and is targeted to help you progress to your 1st solo freefall on your 6th jump.
Small class sizes and friendly instructors ensure you gain the skills and confidence to get the most out of the experience. As a solo jump course student you join thousands of people who began jumping in just the same way and went on to advanced training becoming qualified skydivers. You’ll leave with a smile on your face and the desire to get back into the sky! |
You're balanced at the edge of an open doorway of an aircraft flying at approx 14,000 feet, the drone of the engine and the wind whistling in your ears with only the outline of the distant ground visible below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - falling forward into the beckoning blue sky, diving down through the air as you freefall at over 120mph! Then suddenly you feel a pull against your body and the roar of freefall fades away as you swiftly decelerate. Now imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens, the steering toggles come up either side of you and you begin a tranquil parachute descent from a mile up in the air, steering back down to the centre of the drop zone below. Well you can stop imagining because it's real and you can experience it for yourself with a Tandem Skydive at the Black Knights Parachute Centre. Securely attached to your specialist British Parachute Association instructor and his tandem parachute equipment you’ll freefall together from approx 14,000 feet at 120mph. As you’re just the passenger the training requirements are shorter than for our solo jump courses. Tandem Skydiving is a great choice for people who would prefer not to solo jump on a 6 Jumps RAPS Solo Freefall Course or a Static Line Solo 1st Jump Course |
