A look back on the year so far

2020 did not start off to the best for the skydiving community. Firstly the weather stopped many of us in February from getting us back in the air but who would’ve thought that a global pandemic would have stopped us the following month because we sure didn’t! We want to say a big thank you to our customers for being so understanding during the unpredictable and uncertain times.

Once the UK started to reopen and once we were given the green light to open our doors again, we were blessed with a cracking summer. Beautiful temperatures and superb views across Morecambe bay. Obviously a lot of procedures were changed in order to operate safely and in accordance with the government guidelines. So a big thank you to our staff and our club jumpers for helping again with these difficult times.

Us operating again allowed many people to start enjoying life again, it allowed them to forget for a minute the stuff going on in the world. Let’s not also forgot about the many charities that have suffered during these times as many events had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 which therefore meant the charities were struggling too! By us reopening, this allowed for participants to raise thousands of pounds for all these deserving charities. Did we also forget to mention that we were on TV multiple times!

Can’t forget to mention our students at Black Knights. Their dedication to the sport has been outstanding. You guys have worked hard and progressed so well over the past few months and it has been a pleasure to teach you all and to hand the majority of you your A Licence. We are excited to see what 2021 brings to you all as new skydivers and to continue to expand our skydiving community.

The fantastic reviews we have had on our Covid-19 procedures have made all the hard work worthwhile. To hear how people have enjoyed themselves and their time with us makes our job here at Black Knights even more enjoyable and we cannot wait to continue this into 2021. Let’s just hope 2021 trumps 2020!
